Yesterday, 26 January our Road Policing Team (Bike Team and OPU) working with the DVSA conducted a commercial vehicle operation working out of the Gledrid area of Weston Rhyn, Oswestry. The team utilised the A5 for commercial vehicles travelling into and out of our force area. 

The results for the operation:

4 x Insecure loads

7 Over weight vehicles 

2 x no MOT

I seizure no VEL

4 x tyre offences

2 x No Insurance

2 x No licences

2 x No plate offences

2 x excess tints

1 x speeding offence

No tachograph / no records / no operators licence

1 x vehicle cabled (no rear brake pads in calliper at all) de-cabled and owner sorted recovery

1 x Arrest for failing a roadside drug test.
